Blocked roads and riot police in front of parliament - Demonstrators are being detained in Yerevan

The second day of large-scale protest rallies began with arrests in Yerevan. Police detained more than 30 demonstrators in the city center. The situation in Yerevan is still tense.

Roads are blocked, access to the parliament is blocked as well. Special techniques and special forces are mobilized in front of the legislative body. Opposition protests possible appointment of the former president of Armenia on the position of the Prime Minister. The government blames rally participants for violating the law.

The demonstrators plan to launch wide-scale protest, because the parliament plans to approve the candidacy of Serj Sargsyan today.


They are going to continue the rallies and say that Sargsyan will not be appointed on the position of the premiere.
