My vetoes were aimed at maintaining state institutions - the statement was made by the President of Georgia. Giorgi Margvelashvili spoke about five years of his presidential term at the meeting with Polytechnic University students.

Giorgi Margvelashvili has vetoed 10 draft laws in the 5-year of presidential term. Among them was court reform and constitution. In all cases, veto was overcome by the parliamentary majority.

The President noted at the meeting with the students that the ruling team"s efforts to overcome his veto have recently become comic.
