UNM protests sale of balneological resort Akhtala in Gurjaani

Representatives of United National Movement protested a sale of the balneological resort Akhtala in Gurjaani. Giorgi Botkoveli arrived to the place and presented official documents.

The opposition suspects that the project, in which they have invested six million GEL, has been deliberately suspended by the government since 2012.

According to Botkoveli, the resort was registered several times, which was followed by deprivation of the territories.

He claims that Davit Songhulashvili, the Gurjaani majoritarian, is interested in up to 4 hectares of land in this area. Reportedly he plans to build a 120-room hotel.

The resort is sold for 3 million 755 000 GEL at the auction.
