Georgia celebrates Independence Day - the country receives congratulations from the whole world

Since morning Georgia has been receiving congratulations from all over the world. The President of the seven friendly countries and the top delegation from 20 countries are in Tbilisi. They congratulated Georgia on Independence Day from the Freedom Square.
President of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaite, said congratulations in Georgian.

An oath-taking ceremony has been held at 6 places across Georgia: Tbilisi, Shindisi, Vardzia, Kojori-Khoroghli fortress, Batumi and Gelati ceremony.

389 recruits took part in the ceremony.

An orchestra invited from Lithuania performed at a ceremony in Tbilisi. Georgian anthem was performed by opera singer Nino Machaidze. The ceremony was attended by children living in villages located on the dividing lines.
