Tamar Chugoshvili, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia speaks about the selection process of the Chief Prosecutor. One of the leaders of the ruling team says that the chief prosecutor should have high confidence in society.

According to her, this will be one of the main criteria by which the government will be guided in the process of selecting a candidate.

According to the Vice-Speaker, the procedure for selection of the Chief Prosecutor will be conducted according to the legislation.

According to Tamar Chugoshvili, the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor"s Office have a leading role in selecting the candidate of the Chief Prosecutor.

"Our common goal is to ensure that trust mandate towards the Chief Prosecutor is very high, and we are guided by these criteria ..."- Chugoshvili says.
