Marneuli mayor Temur Abazov is arrested. The detention of Abazov is linked to the inhuman and degrading treatment of a person living in Marneuli, regarding whom the Prosecutor"s Office of Georgia is conducting an investigation.

The information about the detention of Abazov was confirmed to the Rustavi 2 at Prosecutor General"s Office.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of inhuman and degrading treatment carried out by a group under Article 1443 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, sub-paragraph "e".
