Avtandil Khurtsidze is found guilty by the Jury of the US Criminal Court

The trial of Avtandil Khurtsidze, the boxer from Kutaisi is finished in America. The jury has found Khurtsidze guilty. He is charged with membership of the Russian criminal syndicate. The sentence will be announced on September 21, and ireportedly he will face up to 20 years of imprisonment.

Khurtsidze"s mother declares that her son is innocent and asks the Georgian government for help. Avtandil Khurtsidze himself denies t accusations.

Khurtsidze turned out to be among 33 people who were detained by the New York Prosecutor"s Office for being members of the Russian criminal syndicate.
