Russian occupants kidnapped 22-year-old youth from Mereti

Russian occupants kidnapped another citizen of Georgia, a 22-year old man. Giorgi Gorgisheli was detained near the village of Mereti in Gori district and was taken to Tskhinvali.

The separatists spread information that Gorgisheli was considered a recidivist and was sentenced to 2 months imprisonment for illegally crossing the border.

This is the second case of detention of Giorgi in the last month. He was arrested in May on similar charges by border guards .
