Elections in Turkey - according to preliminary data, Erdogan is still president

Recep Tayyip Erdogan is still the president of Turkey - he won in the first round of the presidential election. After counting 99% of votes, Turkey"s current president is supported by 53% of voters.
His main rival, Mohare Izjet, won 31% of the vote. According to Erdogan, his "Justice and Development Party" will be able to gain a majority of votes in the country"s parliament.

23% of voters voted for the opposition "People"s Republican Party". According to the Election Commission, a 10% threshold has been passed by the pro-Georgian party. Erdogan has been the head of the country for more than 15 years - this time he will use the increased power of the president.
