Process of selectionof the new Chief Prosecutor - Conflict in the Chief Prosecutor"s Office

A conflict at the Prosecutor"s Office of Georgia. According to Courier"s source, a selection of a new chief prosecutor has become a reason for the confrontation.
A source states that some prosecutors support Levan Dzneladze"s candidacy, while some support Irakli Nadareishvili.

Both- Dsneladze and Nadareishvili are high ranking officials of the Prosecutor"s Office. Levan Dzneladze is a head of the Supervision Department of theDefense and Penitentiary Ministries. He is a candidate of the Prosecutor"s Council.

Irakli Nadareishvili heads the Department of investigation.

It is also known that the governmental team has their candidate- Shalva Tadumadze.

"European Georgia" named one of the leaders of "Free Democrats" Shalva Shavgulidze as a candidate for the chief prosecutor"s position as well

UNM expresses distrust to the process of selection.
