Russia is a threat to the whole world and we need a common effort to neutralize this threat - President of Georgia speaks about the key messages delivered at the NATO Summit .
A briefing of Giorgi Margvelashvili has just ended in Brussels. According to the president, he demanded to accelerate Georgia"s NATO membership.
The President of Georgia says that the country has all practical mechanisms to join the NATO and now the only political consensus is required.
"What is important in this declaration is that first of all, it is recognized by all 29 countries, all NATO members that Russia is an aggressor and has occupied two regions of Georgia. It is indicated that Russia has to withdraw troops from Georgia. In parallel with the recognition of this reality it confirms that Georgia will become a member of the NATO and the third moment is that all NATO member countries agree to support enhancing Georgia"s defence capabilities and support the country,"- said Giorgi Margvelashvili.
