Saakashvili says he has an optimistic but cautious attitude towards Putin and Trump"s meeting

Mikheil Saakashvili responds to Helsinki summit. The third president of Georgia says in an interview with Fox about Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump that he has an optimistic but cautious attitude towards the meeting.

According to him, "the Russian president was expecting Trump to be a leader like Sylvio Berlusconi, whose manipulation would be easier but he was a national and unpredictable president who staffed his national security team with well-known Russia hawks and Putin critics, such as John Bolton, Fiona Hill, and Gen. James Mattis."

Saakashvili writes that the basis for optimism gives him several factors. Including sanctions, criticizing deals with Russia and delivering weapons to Georgia and Ukraine, indicating a radical change of Barack Obama"s policy.
