Construction of HPP in Pankisi - Duisi is preparing for a protest rally

A protest rally will be held in the village of Duisi today. The locals will protest against construction of HPPs in the gorge.

According to organizers of the action, after the population stopped construction of HPP in Birkani, locals are summoned to police and there are attempts to change their positions.

The company "Alazani Energy" is building HPP in Pankisi. Protest action was held several times against the construction of "Khadori 3".

Protesters today demand the punishment of those convicted for murdering 19-year-old Temirlan Machalikashvili, who was killed in an anti-terrorist operation in Pankisi.
