The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture asks "Georgian Manganese" to solve ecological problems in Chiatura.

The company has long-term and short-term liabilities regarding environmental measures. The Ministry conducts monitor of its implementation.

The main problem is the pollution of the river Kvirila. Over the years, the polluted water produced by ore enrichment, along with the mulch, flows directly into the river Kvirila. The company "Georgian Manganese" plans to build a new factory.
