Five persons were detained for attempting to cross the Georgian border illegally

Law enforcers detained four citizens of Georgia and one citizen of the People"s Republic of Bangladesh for attempting to cross the Georgian state border illegally.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the crime committed by them envisages from 4 to 5 years of imprisonment.

The investigation found that the defendants tried to cross illegally the Georgian border from Georgia to Turkey bypassing the border checkpoint.

The investigation is ongoing on the fact of attempting to cross the state border illegally in a group.
