Giorgi Margvelashvili meets with OSCE Secretary General

The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a meeting with the Secretary General of the OSCE, Thomas Greminger, who is on his official visit to Georgia.

The sides discussed issues of deepening cooperation between the OSCE and Georgia.

They also talked about future prospects, the situation in the occupied territories, security problems and the OSCE involvement in these processes.

The President discussed the current democratic reforms in the country with the OSCE Secretary General, the upcoming presidential election and the OSCE involvement in these processes.

The sides noted that Georgia"s problem should be presented in the OSCE agenda as widely as possible.

"I had interesting meetings with the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister. I also visited the administrative boundary line. It helps to understand what challenges Georgia is facing. We would like to thank Georgia for participating in OSCE missions. We will continue your support, "said Thomas Greminger.

Before that, the OSCE Secretary General met with the Prime Minister of Georgia. The main topic of discussions was the situation in the occupied territories in respect to security and human rights.
