Alleged corrupt deal of former Mayor of Zugdidi- State Security releases a statement

State Security Service has released a statement regarding the alleged corruption of former Zugdidi Mayor Lasha Gogia. According to the agency, one person is detained on the same case.

The statement issued by the State Security Service reads:

"Investigation in Anti-Corruption Agency is in progress under the article 338 of the Criminal Code of Georgia under the Criminal Code of Georgia, as a result of the searching of houses and vehicles Zaza Kh has been detained in connection with the case.

Lasha Gogia was at the State Security Service yesterday. Former mayor of Zugdidi left the module late last night. Lasha Gogia"s questioning lasted for more than 9 hours. The former high ranking official did not talk with the journalists about the details of the survey. According to him, he will make a statement tomorrow.
