Possible meeting between Georgian and Russian first persons - Georgian legislators do not see the preconditions for negotiations

"Georgian Dream" does not see the necessity of negotiations between the heads of Russia and Georgia. The ruling team responds to the statement of the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin who does not rule out the meeting of the heads of two states.

Members of the parliamentary majority think that there is no proper precondition for the meeting and negotiations.

Opposition assesses the possible meeting of Russian and Georgian officials as a harmful decision.

"The announcement itself is already damaging to the country and is the continuation of the line, which Ivanishvili planned to carry out. Thus they want to deprive Georgia of international support and bring the issue to the level of negotiations, "- said Roman Gotsiridze, member of the UNM.

Grigory Karasin made a statement after the meeting with Zurab Abashidze, the Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Georgia.
