The Anti-Corruption Agency has detained Lasha Gogia, the former mayor and Gia Gulordava, his deputy.

Supposedly, they are detained in connection to the scandalous audio recordings released in September, where a businessman Zurab Kvirkvia speaks with Lasha Gogia. and reminds him about 10 000 GEL given him with the envelope as well as 30 thousand GEL, transferred to a particular bank account in exchange of a deal.

Zugdidi Mayor Lasha Gogia left the position on September 12.
