Agreement on Cooperation and Relations between Ukraine and Constantinople Patriarchate was signed.

The document was signed by Petro Poroshenko and World Patriarch Bartholomew after the talks in Istanbul.

The President of Ukraine and the World Patriarch discussed the issue of autocephaly for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Patriarch Bartholomew said at the signing ceremony that the signed agreement will accelerate the issue of autocephaly and promote Ukrainian Orthodox Christians.
