Threats and unprecedented facts of bribery - NGOs call concerning revealed pre-election violations

Psychological violence, threats and bribery of unprecedented magnitude - NGOs talk about violations and oppression revealed before elections. Civil society representatives are actively observing the election process and will submit a new interim report in the nearest future.

Members of NGOs claim that after the first round of elections the pressure on the electorate has received a dangerous scope, to which is added the bribery of voters. According to them, the bribery may have an impact on the outcome of the election, which will question the legitimacy of the elections.

ISFED is preparing an interim report on the elections, which will be known to the public tomorrow. According to the executive director of the NGO, Mikheil Benidze, pressure in the second round is worrying. He spoke about specific violations.

Representatives of the civil sector evaluate the government"s promise, which will pay off the debts of 600,000 citizens, in total, half a million GEL will be funded by Cartu as a bribery.
