"There are facts of insulting of Zurabishvili but we did not pay attention to it" - Kaladze responds to ISFED report

Mayor of Tbilisi responds to the interim report of ISFED. Kakha Kaladze believes that the document is incomplete and it includes complains only of one side. In particular, Kakha Kaladze said that there were insulting allegations against Salome Zourabichvili, but it was not included in the conclusion of "Fair Elections".

"The whole election campaign, the first and the second tours is mainly on the negative background. There are direct insults from the candidate and specifically to Salome Zurabishvili. This is done by a particular political party called the "National Movement". Its leaders, supporters. There were attempts to offend the presidential candidate. Unfortunately, this was left beyond the attention of Mr. Benidze, "said Kakha Kaladze.

The Interim Report of "Fair Elections" covers the pre-election period to the second round of elections. The nongovernmental organization indicates the widespread pressure, the bribery of the voters and the large scale of the use of administrative resources.

Based on the identified violations, ISFED does not exclude that the legitimacy of the elections will be under question.

ISFED says that during the reporting period, they have revealed 40 facts of pressure / intimidation. Out of the 40 facts revealed, only one is threatening to Salome Zourabichvili, the rest is about pressure on opposition supporters.
