Russia poses bigger threat to the national security of Great Britain than terrorist organizations - head of the General Staff

"Russia is now “indisputably” a greater threat to the security of Britain and her allies than Islamist extremist groups such as al-Qaeda and Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil),"- the statement was made by the head of the British General Staff.

General Mark Carlton Smith said in an interview with Daily Telegraph that Russia is systematically studying weak points of the Western countries and trying to use them, so London can not leave this threat unattrnded.

Smith believes that the response of the West should be maintainng NATO"s unity on the Russian threat.
