Salome Zurabishvili or Grigol Vashadze - Georgia is holding the presidential election today. For the first time in the country"s history, the head of state and commander -in- chief of the country will be elected in the second round. The opponents supported by the ruling party Salome Zourabichvili and the candidate of the United Opposition, Grigol Vashadze.

This is the last election when the Georgian population chooses the president of the country directly. Citizens will be able to vote from 8:00 am till 20:00 am. In the second round in the same polling stations, which were opened for the first round of the 28 October elections.
