The United Opposition will hold a rally in the center of Telavi despite the refusal of the mayor. The statement was made by the member of the political council of the United National Movement, Giorgi Botkoveli, Chairman of Telavi Regional Organization.
Giorgi Botkoveli said that the Telavi City Hall response to the request of the United Opposition to hold a peacekeeping rally lacked argumentation.
Botkoveli can not understand the Telavi mayor"s argument that the territory demanded by the opposition coincides with the territory needed for the inauguration.
The opposition addressed Telavi City Hall two days ago to allocate the territory for a peaceful demonstration. The Mayor"s Office offered an alternative territory to the opposition for the demonstration on December 16. The official message has already been sent to the representatives of the opposition where the April 9 street is indicated as an alternative place for the rally.
