Davit Kirkitadze, one of the leaders of the United Opposition, has been transferred to Telavi Police Preliminary Detention Isolator.
The lawyer will visit him and afterwards Davit Kirkitadze will be officially charged.
Law enforcers arrested the opposition representative, about 40 minutes ago in Bakurtsikhe and read the charges.Davit Kirkitadze is accused of violating the first part of Article 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies resistance to the police and hindering the protection of public order, violence or threat of violence.
According to the opposition leaders, special services employees were watching them all day long.
Members of the United Opposition arrived in Kakheti to attend the protest rally yesterday.
