Georgia will be able to achieve peace and stability only with the strong and consistent approach of the international community, - this statement was made by the Prime Minister of Georgia. Mamuka Bakhtadze pays an official visit to Lithuania. After the meetings, Georgian Prime Minister and his Lithuanian counterpart made joint statements.

Mamuka Bakhtadze thanked Lithuania for support. He spoke about Georgia"s European and Euro-Atlantic choice and steps taken.
"At the meeting, we noted the progress achieved by Georgia on the path of the NATO integration, the successful democratic transformation of our country and the unprecedented practical level of cooperation with the NATO, also noted that Georgia has all practical mechanisms for the NATO membership.
I would like to once again thank the Lithuanian authorities for the firm support of Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for efforts to strengthen the non-recognition policy of the occupied territories of Georgia, "- the Prime Minister said.

According to Mamuka Bakhtadze, steps taken by Russia to occupation and annexation and its dire consequences were discussed as well.
