The Ministry of Economy of Georgia speaks about tightening regulations regarding gas supply after the tragic incident in Varketili.
The ministry said that measures should be tightened for specific gas distribution companies as well as for subscribers to prevent such cases as leakage of natural gas.
"The Ministry works on tightening the existing law. First of all, these are technical regulations. We think we need to set up more demands for those companies which carry out the installation of gas in both the apartments and in individual apartments. The second direction is our strict requirements far gas distribution companies, "Natia Turunava, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development said.
