Meeting of Georgian emigrants with Saakashvili and a 4-point future plan

Emigrants met with Mikheil Saakashvili in Liege, Belgium to talk about their return to Georgia. The three-hour meeting ended with a 4-point action plan. The first and the most important point is to grant Georgian citizenship to all Georgians residing abroad so that these people can participate in elections and be involved in political life. To avoid fraud, immigrants and third president of Georgia think that electronic voting system should be introduced in the country.
Emigrants who left Georgia years ago think that the experience accumulated abroad is the most needed for their motherland. Some have been working at the University of London for some years, and some have little experience with a small business.
The third president of Georgia thinks that now the government should create appropriate conditions for return of immigrants and if immigrants invest in their homeland, they should be released from taxes. The main demand of immigrants is to change the government through democratic elections.
Sandra Roelofs was a moderator of the meeting in Liège. The former First Lady says that the government is more fearful of Mikheil Saakashvili than his main opponent, Russia which installs in Georgia more and more barbed wire fences.
Mikheil Saakashvili is going to visit European cities and meet with immigrants in the nearest future.
