"The person who is a teacher of the theological academy has gone to all limits and addressed all kinds of defamation" - the Rector of the Theological Seminary and Academy, Father Giorgi Zviadadze explains the reasons for the release of Gocha Barnov from the Theological Seminary.
According to Zviadadze, Barnov slandered the church as well as the staff of the Academy. The rector says that the scientific board had the only demand for the theologian to take back all the defamatory statements what Barnov did not do. According to Zviadadze, Barnov committed a crime towqards before the Georgian Church and the Theological Academy.
"The gross violation of the Christian ethical norms, the defamation of the Patriarchate of the Georgian Orthodox Church, the Holy Church, the Professors of the Theological Academy, he has repeatedly received a note, warning, reprimand, to stop his slander, "says Father George Zviadadze.
Gocha Barnov says that he will not take back his own statements and will not apologize, on the contrary, will openly speak about all the problems in the theological Academy.According to Barnov, he will not change his opinion on the issue of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church.
