The UN representative responded to the investigation of the TBC Bank case and the state attack on private business.
The diplomat says that the case is of great importance to foreign investors and the process should be transparent.
"Georgia needs strong financial institutions and strong financial regulations - this is the key to any business environment. In addition, Georgia needs a strong court. All three fields are now undergoing tests. We expect that the issue of TBC Bank will be transparent and in compliance with the legislation of the country. There are obviously a lot of speculations around TBC Bank, so we call on the process to be transparent and fair, investors will observe the process and wait for the results," said Luisa Winton, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Permanent Representative in Georgia.
