One of the initiators of the initiative on suspension of lifetime appointment of judges responds to today"s decision of the Georgian Dream political council, according to which the ruling team will not support the draft law.
Gedevan Popkhadze says that the political council has made a wrong decision. He also responded to some of the party members that advocated the timely departure of the MPs from the party.
Gedevan Popkhadze states that he and his associates have not received places in the party as a privilege from someone and they will make a decision on their own and not at the instruction by anyone.
"The political council has made a mistake, they took the wrong move and made a false statements. The decision of the political council is not a higher institution for me from a moral point of view. Those people, who are making this initiative, are in the team not accidentally and we are nobody`s men. We have not received this place from anyone, so we do not have to take instructions whether to stay or leave, all these decisions will be dictated by the moral values , "said Gedevan Popkhadze.
