"We are dealing with a bankrupt government" - Opposition assesses Beselia"s initiative about judges

Eka Beselia will leave the Georgian Dream today - the former head of the legal committee is going to make a special announcement at 12:00 midday.
In the nearest future Gedevan Popkhadze"s question should be cleared. As for the so-called another member of the rebels - Levan Gogichaishvili, he has already left the parliamentary majority.
Parliament did not support yesterday Eka Beselia"s legislative initiative, which envisages postponement of lifetime appointment of judges in the first and second instances courts until 2024.
The opposition in full composition voted for the initiative. The "National Movement" declares that the failure of the initiative was Ivanishvili"s order.
"You know where all the trouble comes from, they agree with Beselia but can not dare to support the author of this draft law because Ivanishvili instructed them not to take part in voting,"- Nika Melia said.
Giga Bokeria, one of the leaders of "European Georgia", says that "Georgian Dream" does not even consider the consensus of the entire opposition and the society and does not think of bringing the country out of the crisis.
"I mean the bankrupt government, Ivanishvili"s team, which, when there is a full consensus of the whole political spectrum, does not even want to revise the course that led to the deadlock," - Giga Bokeria says.
Beselia"s initiative envisaged the suspension of lifetime appointment of judges in the courts of the first and second instances for 5 years . At yesterday"s meeting, she strongly criticized her colleagues and accused them of being under influence of the High Council of Justice. Beselia"s initiative was supported by the opposition in full composition and several MPs supporting the majority.
