Attack in the center of Tbilisi. A few minutes ago bloody confrontation occurred at Rustaveli Avenue, near Kashueti Church.
The citizen claims that he was severely abused by Giorgi Mikadze, a man close to the former Chief Prosecutor, Otar Partskhaladze.
The 39-year-old David Gulashvili was taken to the hospital by the ambulance. He said in a telephone conversation with the Courier journalist that he was attending his relative`s funeral when he was physically assaulted by Giorgi Mikadze,a businessman and a close associate of the former chief prosecutor .
According to the victim, Mikadze hit him with a gun several times in the face.
Gulashvili says that the confrontation is connected with Mtatsminda"s case several years ago in which he and Mikadze participated.
According to him, the police warned him to leave the country, but he did not consider the demand of the old Tbilisi police.According to the mother of the victim, the police witnessed this fact but did not react because the case concerned Partskhaladze"s associate.
