Vanuatu"s Foreign Minister at the Occupation Line

A Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vanuatu has visited the village of Odzisi near the occupation line. He has got acquainted with the current situation and expressed his support for Georgia"s European integration.

The Diplomat has made a statement regarding recognition of so-called independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia . He stated that Vanuatu recognizes Georgia"s territorial integrity, but in 2011, one particular minister was influenced by certain individuals and expressed a different position.

The visit of Vanuatu"s Foreign Minister coincided with the opening of the road leading to Akhalgori, which was closed on January 11 by the Tskhinvali occupation regime.
