Zviad Kvachantiradze could not be dismissed from the chairmanship of the committee

67 voted for and 8 against Zviad Kvachantiradze"s resignation. He was not dismissed from the Chairmanship of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee.

The voting was held in the legislative body several minutes ago. Irakli Kobakhidze, the Speaker of the Parliament said that MPs will return to this discussion within two weeks.

The discussion was held on the background of acute criticism. Eka Beselia criticized former teammates and thanked Zviad Kvachantiradze. She delivered a part of the Rules of Procedure which enables Zviad Kvachantiradze to remain on his position, even if he is not a member of the parliamentary majority any more.
