Firearms and cold weapons, c electroshock, alcohol - 853 banned items have been seized in the schools since September - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs has pledged that the responsibility will be imposed on everyone who have connection to the critical state of the schools.
According to Natia Mezvrishvili, all the facts related to the introduction of drugs, alcohol and firearms in educational institutions are revealed by the law enforcement agencies and the statistics are not increased compared to the previous year.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs emphasizes the coordinated work of the Ministry of Justice and Resource Officers .
"The data about which you ask me, confirm that the Resource Officer service works effectively after enacting the law, revealing the relevant violations and where the signs of crime are revealed providing the information to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. So, our task was to have coordination between the Police and the Resource Officers, this goal has been achieved and this coordination exists today and police effectively react to all the facts of crime, "said Natia Mezvrishvili.
In addition to prohibited items in schools, the pupils were also found to have drugs. There were 20 such cases, and in 33 cases the schoolchildren had enough items for drug use. 853 prohibited items were withdrawn out of 485 schools of Georgia.
