"All for one! " - Decision of Pankisi Residents

Residents of Pankisi Gorge have made a decision as a result of consultations.They will act according to the principle " all for one." A public council will be created, which will introduce all decisions of the gorge to government.

At today"s meeting, the population of Pankisi Gorge decided that if any of their villagers id detained because of clashes, which took place on Sunday, they will all go to the Kakheti regional police department and demand to detain them too.

A 50-member group of policemen protects the vicinity after the April 21 incident. In the village of Djibakhevi the police has placed a container for temporary checkpoint.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs investigates the deve;opments, which took place on April 21.
