The head of the State Security Service Vakhtang Gomelauri will continue his report in the closed format in the Parliament. The initiative was made by the Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee. The decision was made on the ballot, which was held in closed format.
Gomelauri has already presented the report to the MPs. This part of the session was open for media.The opposition demanded the openness of the session.
The ruling team did not consider the opposition"s demand. According to Irakli Kobakhidze"s decision, Vakhtang Gomelauri"s annual report was officially closed. The head of the legislative body has named the country"s national security and secret information as the reason.
