The deputy chairman of the Zugdidi City Council imposes responsibility for the developments in the municipality building on the opposition. Besik Chezhia states that opposition leaders artificially escalate the situation because they know that their candidate has no chance to win.

"We are trying to conduct these elections in a calm environment. We want people to have a possibility to a express their will in favor of any candidate but some may think that they do not have the chance to win this elections and try to escalate some of the processes that will not benefit the city, "said Besik Chezia.
