Batumi Mayor and Chairperson of City Council comment on a large-scale corruption scandal and detentions in Ajara.
Suliko Teimidze, the Chairman of Batumi City Council says that yesterday"s detentions confirmed that "Georgian Dream" management does not support crime. He said that it is important to wait for the results of the investigation.
"Today we have a party in the government, which does not care who is it, ordinary citizen or high official, both are equally responsible for in front of the law," said Suliko Tebidze, the Chairman of Batumi City Council.
According to the Mayor of the town, it was hard to hear that information, because of some of the detainees are high-ranking officials.
Lasha Komakhidze hopes for an objective and fair investigation.
