A few minutes ago, a powerful explosion occurred in Tbilisi. The incident occurred in Chiladze street 166 due to gas leakage.
After the incident, three injured people were taken to the hospital. As the emergency service manager told "Courier", the explosion did not cause any destruction.
The company "Kaztransgaz - Tbilisi" has released a statement on the incident saying that the cause of the explosion is likely to be the left open gas cooker.
"The information on explosion entered the company"s hotline at 18:41. The company"s specialists on the scene found that the building survived the explosion due to the strong accumulation of gas.
The neighbors say the apartment was rented. The injured have burns. Additional details will be known after the investigation is completed.
