Zugdidi District Court justified the director of the "Internet Media Group" Giorgi Kapanadze on both charges and only verbally warned him.
Judge Irakli Abshilava said at the trial that the fact of insulting a police officer is not confirmed by case materials. Giorgi Kapanadze"s interests were protected by the Georgian Young Lawyers" Association.
Giorgi Kapanadze was accused of minor hooliganism and resistance to police.
"The police officers abducted me illegally, thus committed a criminal offense, isolated me from the electoral processes while in Zugdidi the election was being rigged. The court confirmed that I am not a hooligan, it fully justified me in this part and said that there was no hooliganism, not even a petty one. In the end, Judge Abshilava decided to make a verbal note to me, "said Giorgi Kapanadze.
