The opposition also touched upon the agreement signed with Gazprom. Giga Bokeria asked the Minister of Economics to publicize the contract with Gazprom. The minister said that this is a commercial secret, so she has no right to do so.
"Is it not a commercial secret for Talakvadze? Where from does Mr. Talakvadze know that we have received how much better conditions for the budget if this information is not public? Why do not we know, "- asked Giga Bokeria.
According to Giga Bokeria, if the terms of the agreement are secret and Talakvadze does not have details about them, then the information that the changed agreement is a more beneficial contract for Georgia is a lie.
The Minister said in response to Bokeria that Talakvadze did not talk about commercial terms and she did not have the right to disclose this information. According to Natia Turnava, 95% of gas is Azerbaijani and security issue is not relevant at this stage. According to her, Russia has imposed the worse conditions of the contract for Georgia.Natia Turvanava also explained that she would consult with his team and only afterward try to provide the Parliament with the terms of the agreement.
