"Society demands justice" - A demonstration under this slogan was held in several cities of Russia.

In Moscow a few thousand people protested against political repressions. Similar rallies were held in St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Samara and other cities.

Demonstrators demanded the release of political prisoners.

The demonstration was planned on the background of criminal persecution of journalist Ivan Golunov.
