The Ombudsman began to study the case of dispersing rally on June 20. The Ombudsman"s Office will assess the investigation process by taking into account the international standards of effective investigation. Assessment criteria will be elements of independence, timeliness, accuracy, competence and involvement of victims.

The statement released by the Ombudsman says that special attention will be paid to whether all necessary investigative/procedural actions have been carried out whether these actions have been conducted in a timely manner, and that there is no unreasonable delay in the process of investigation.
