The lawyer of Mikheil Kalandia, detained on charges of murder in Davit Saralidze"s case, wants to demand the change of detention as a preventive measure today.
The first pre-trial session will begin in a few hours where the parties will present the evidence. The defense claims that the allegations have no evidence on which the Kalandia should remain in custody, so they will demand a change of imprisonment.
It is not excluded that Kalandia"s lawyer will talk about the pressure on Mikheil Kalandia and his family members during the interrogation. Mikheil Kalandia was detained on Khorava street case about a month ago. He does not recognize the accusation of Davit Saralidze"s murder.
"The unity of the evidence in the case does not guarantee that the court does not change the preventive measure because the evidence obtained is still based on the 2017 case," said Ana Kotetishvili, a lawyer of Mikheil Kalandia.
