"The Minister of Internal Affairs is lying, this is proved by the statement of Sabanadze. The government should realize that the tragedy of June 20-21 is the milestone through their governance. It is no longer possible for "Georgian Dream" to wield the power. It is a matter of time, that will be better for the government to take political and moral responsibility. Giorgi Gakharia is not the Minister of Internal Affairs anymore," - said Grigol Vashadze.
On June 20, the rally was held in front of the Parliament due to the Russian MP"s visit in Georgia and his speech at the Parliament. Citizens gathered near the legislative body and demanded the resignation of Irakli Kobakhidze. The government used tear gas, rubber/rocket bullets, water cannons for dispersal of the citizens. The Minister of Internal Affairs said that the decision about the use of force was made by him to be prevented the strike to the Parliament.
