The Chairman of the Parliament responds to the announcement of the investigation on the case of TBC Bank. According to the briefing held at the Prosecutor"s Office, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze were charged. According to Archil Talakvadze, the parliament is observing this case. According to him, the prosecutor"s office should constantly inform the population because of the high public interest.
"There are number of public discussions on this issue, of course we will observe the process.
"Maybe Mr Khazaradze announced political plans a week ago, but this case is initiated much earlier," - Archil Talakvadze said.
What will happen to the project of the Port of Anaklia if Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze will be detained, Archil Talakvadze says that the project will not stop because there is full support of the state.
"Port of Anaklia is a project that is based on cooperation between the state and international investors. This is the main condition of its implementation. As for the issue of justice, the justice has its logic and it is important for the state as well as for Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze to expedite the case in a reasonable time," - Archil Talakvadze said.
