"After the brutal crackdown on the night of June 20, Bidzina Ivanishvili was so afraid of losing his power that he moved on to very hard actions," said Nino Goguadze, the political secretary of Free Democrats.
According to Nino Goguadze, Ivanishvili, in order to maintain power, is not avoiding detaining besides the politicians of the citizens participating in the rally.
"He has made up a fairy tale, a state coup and the prosecutor"s office actually makes this fairy tale true. Yes, he started repressions, he arrests the political opponents, detaines free citizens, he wants to stop free speech. He thinks that with these methods will be able to maintain power and intimidate Georgian citizens who love freedom, but he will lose his power and lose the elections, "Goguadze said.
